Terminal Terms
The rules of engagement for using Cosmic Reader. Short, plain language, no surprise clauses.
01 — Acceptance
By accessing or using Cosmic Reader you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. We may revise this document; meaningful changes will be flagged on the homepage before they take effect.
02 — What Cosmic Reader is
Cosmic Reader is a news aggregator. We pull headlines and excerpts from publicly available RSS feeds published by space-news outlets and present them in a unified interface. Article content remains the property of its original publisher. Clicking through opens the full article on the publisher's site.
03 — Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
- One human, one account. No automated mass-account creation.
- Provide accurate sign-up information. Impersonation will get the account closed.
- You can delete your account at any time from settings or by emailing us.
04 — Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, mirror, or republish the aggregated feed in bulk without permission.
- Reverse-engineer, attack, probe, or attempt to compromise the service.
- Use the service to harass other users or distribute malicious content.
- Bypass rate limits or attempt to access non-public data.
Violations may result in account suspension or termination.
05 — Third-party content disclaimer
Headlines, summaries, and images come from independent publishers. Cosmic Reader does not endorse, fact-check, or take responsibility for the accuracy of third-party content. Always click through and read the original article for full context.
06 — Service availability
We aim for high uptime but the service is provided "as is" with no guarantee of continuous availability. Feeds occasionally go offline, sources occasionally block us — we restore service as quickly as we can.
07 — Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cosmic Reader and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. If you don't like it, you can stop using it at any time — that's the remedy.
08 — Termination
Either side may terminate this agreement at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account from settings; doing so removes your saved articles and preferences within seven days.
09 — Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Cosmic Reader's operating entity is registered. Disputes should be raised by emailing hello@cosmicreader.app first; we'd rather resolve things in conversation than in court.
10 — Contact
